privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-15
This policy explains what happens to your data when you visit www.yomiplush.dev. It is written to be read, not to hide things. In short: this site sets no cookies of its own and runs no client-side tracking.
1. Who we are
This is the personal website of yomiplush (the “controller”), a personal project, not a company. Contact: github.com/yomiplush.
2. What this site is
A static site: one page listing public GitHub repositories, plus an About page and this policy. There is no account, no login, no newsletter, and no comment form — there is nowhere for you to submit personal data.
3. Data we collect
None directly. We do not set cookies, do not keep server logs of our own, and do not build profiles of visitors.
4. Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies. Cloudflare, which serves and protects the site, may set a strictly necessary security cookie (for example __cf_bm, used for bot detection). Strictly necessary cookies require no consent and are described here for transparency. We set no marketing, advertising, or preference cookies.
5. Local storage
To avoid re-requesting the GitHub API on every view, the home page stores the fetched repository list in your browser's sessionStorage for about 10 minutes. This stays on your device, is never sent anywhere, and clears when you close the tab. Your consent choice for optional analytics is stored in localStorage.
6. Third parties
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, TLS, security (bot protection). Cloudflare also provides cookieless, aggregate Web Analytics (a small beacon script). See Cloudflare's own privacy documentation. Legal basis: legitimate interest (security, aggregate measurement).
- GitHub — the home page fetches the repository list from the public GitHub API (
api.github.com) in your browser, so your IP address is visible to GitHub for that request. See GitHub's privacy statement. - Links — outbound links to GitHub and ko-fi take you to those sites, which have their own policies.
7. Legal bases (GDPR Art. 6)
Security and core operation rely on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) and the provision of the service you requested (Art. 6(1)(b)). Any optional, non-essential measurement relies on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you give or refuse via the banner and can change at any time by clearing this site's storage.
8. Retention
We keep nothing on our side. Your sessionStorage cache clears with the tab; your consent choice stays in localStorage until you clear it. Cloudflare and GitHub apply their own retention.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to processing, and to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Because we hold no personal data about you, most of these are satisfied by default; you can reach us via the contact above for anything else.
10. Changes
Any change will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
